設計理念-順應既有建築,彰顯歷史品牌精神

Concept of the design

本案為德國百年精品皮件品牌OFFERMANN 首間位於亞洲之旗艦店。19世紀初該品牌為貴族打造旅行皮件起家,擅長於結合完整功能(function)需求與時尚外型(form)的設計。旗艦店位於台北晶華酒店旁一老建築的角邊(corner),建築本身明顯斑駁,為建築前輩在現代主義潮流下之經典作品,強調「建築,是靜止的歷史」。尊重和順應既有建築基地,與彰顯德國歷史品牌form follow function的精神,為本案設計的核心價值所在。

 

This case is Offermann’s first flagship store in Asia. A global brand founded in Germany for over 160 years, Offermann made its name by producing high quality leather products with both function and chic form. The flagship store, located in the corner of an old worn building built by a senior architect who believes “Architecture represents a time freezing history”, was near the Regent Taipei. Our core concept of the design is to show respect to the building, adapting our design to account for the site and furthermore, showing the German brand’s spirit - form follows function.

設計手法-空間設計融合新舊,展現百年歷史風貌

Design Skill – Old blended with new

工作室主打為親子、閨蜜及好友一同上課,學習花藝知識的訴求,以相關手作課程創造學習、交流的互動場所,透過花花草草做為媒介,結合輕食、午茶,在南台灣重塑一個當代人際相處的空間。位於住宅大樓地面層的基地為二層樓店鋪式格局,下層做為花藝教室、工作區與素材物料展示區,上層則為休憩空間與廚房。現階段工作室以原有客群為主要受眾群,因此空間規畫上也希冀藉由延攬舊元素、承襲工作室原址的風格配置,以室內吧檯窗為空間主體,除了為教室與工作區兩種不同場域建立區隔,百葉形式可開可闔的室內窗設計,亦可令在工作區內準備的店主、老師能隨時參與窗外教室的話題,建立互動。

 

To recreate an image of Offermann’s leather factory in 1980s in Bensberg of Western Germany, we keep the worn-out pattern of the old building, laying the exterior wall with red bricks, installing black-green grilles and arched beam on the ceiling, and using H-steel section and rusty copperplate. The woodcolor-themed space covered in elegance reflects a simple, understated yet excellent taste. High ceiling serves to make the space look more spacious and brighter. Based on classic German Bauhaus style, the design of the flagship store also incorporated Postmodernism and Deconstructionism. The palladium-plated hardware used in the display cabinets are fully from Germany with the functions of decelerating the oxidation and making the cabinets as new ones.
