策展精神-由展示規劃導引的品牌精神體驗

The Essence of the Curation – The Experience of the Brand Core Values as Guided by Exhibition Curation

有別於多數建材商展以商品展售及企業形象推銷為主的企劃模式,廣州設計周強調以設計師為展會主體,2019年度以《新生FRESH》作為主題,希冀透過新生活、新物種、新商業的嶄新思考,體現在以設計為主體的空間場域,串聯起軟、硬體與商品展售。本次展會團隊首次與ROLANSINI門窗合作,從設計出發,以「策展」的思維態度定位本次展場規劃主軸,透過最少的商品與最完整的主題展示企劃,顯現ROLANSINI門窗的企業文化、經營走向、市場定位、展售商品及社會使命等品牌要素,讓觀者得以在有限的時間與空間內,藉由展場空間設計的呈現,進一步引動對品牌將門窗視為藝術的核心精神與內涵關注。

Contrary to the planning strategy of product display and corporate image promotion addressed by most of building material exhibitions, the Guangzhou Design Week is a designer-focused exhibition with “New-Born FRESH” as its 2019 theme in the hope of manifesting design-driven spaces inundated with all aspects of product sales through brand new discourses in new living, new paradigm, and new business. The exhibition-curating team collaborates with ROLANSINI Doors and Windows in developing the exhibition theme based on a display-curation discourse. In order to highlight the critical brand factors such as corporate culture, operation strategy, market positioning, products on display and social responsibilities, etc., the team allows beholders paying more attention to how ROALANSINI has regarded the doors and windows as the artistic centerpiece through the exhibition design within limited time and space.

框體構築-從門窗延伸的敘事性展會空間

Framed Construct – The Narrative of an Exhibition Space Extended from the Doors and Windows

門窗猶如一堵透明的牆,可以釋放心靈空間的那扇窗,若將之視為畫框,在門窗所框住的景致中會呈現哪些美麗風景?以此發想,我們在設計空間時,特別賦予門窗有別於過往功能性的想像,結合敘事線的營造,在概念上將門窗轉化為心靈之窗,一扇通往記憶與情感的窗,框住各種不同材質、物件的門窗框體猶如散落夢境般的三維空間中。在矩形的展示場域範圍內,依循展場的動線設計規劃,創造七種迥異的空間主題意象,它們依次為浮光、空茫、掠影、及溺、窺月、俱寂、夢蝶,七個主題藝術裝置在故事設定中代表七種不同的人生階段,「浮光」如同青年夢想的美好,「空茫」描繪了夢想破滅的迷失,「掠影」呈現猶如白駒過隙的歲月虛度,「及溺」是被光陰催促的焦慮,「窺月」直指內在的自我偏執,「俱寂」邁出自身的侷限,「夢蝶」則已見山不是山,見水不是水。透過具象的手法,以低調的霧面黑、灰、白色系材料突出展品物件,輔以等分的垂直水平結構,為散布場域內的「框」建立起特有的秩序感,呈現簡約的現代特色以呼應品牌定位印象,進而將抽象意境進行形而上的空間詮釋。

The doors and windows resemble transparent walls, and liberate the soul. If we regarded them as a frame of a painting, what kind of beautiful scenery would be presented through the framed canvas? Based on this creative point, the design team has imbued the doors and windows with imaginations which go beyond their conventional functions. Along with a constructed narrative thread, the doors and windows transforms to the idea of the windows of souls that bridge the memories and emotions while embracing various materials and objects. By following the designed circulation path within the rectangular exhibition space, seven distinguished spatial themes are created as “Youth”, “Emptiness”, “Waste”, “Confusion”, “Paranoid”, “Serenity”, “Compromise”, etc., Respectively, they symbolize different stages in lives, where “Youth” denotes the beauty of naive dreams, “Emptiness” depicts the disorientation in broken dreams, “Waste” articulates the loss in the time gone past swiftly, “Confusion” spells the anxiety intrigued by the sense of time flowing past, “Paranoid” reflects the inner prejudice, “Serenity” outlines the self-imposed limitation, and “Compromise” manifests a transcended state of being. Through realistic depiction in the form of understated matt-finish black, grey and white color materials, the design team accentuates the exhibited objects, and complements the equally divided vertical and horizontal structure that installs a particular sense of order in the frames throughout the exhibition space. The whole exhibit manifests itself in a minimalist modern quality that echo the brand positioning in a spatial articulation beyond its abstraction semantics.

鏡頭之下-屬於觀者自我的框景場域詮釋

Under the Lens – The Framed Spatial Articulation that Belongs to the Beholders

每種空間主題意象皆以不同的心境與觀者鏈結,最終構築成為具備起、承、轉、合,連接一個「人」由青年至老年的想像情境。藉由某些特定框架留下不同物件與光影效果,引導觀者隨著設定動線遊逛展位,同時在不同角度與框景設定下,逐步走向屬於自己的心靈空間,構成一個可以做為對話、交流的場所。相同的概念與設計手法呈現,在不同觀者眼中便能產生千百種各自的解讀與形象,因此在本次展會,品牌特別針對展區舉辦攝影競賽活動,透過鏡頭記錄下屬於自我關注的不同「框景」形象,並以這些撞擊內心的想法為原點,擘劃心靈之框的真義。

As the images of each spatial theme connect with the beholders via different mindsets, the ultimate construct evolves into a meticulous chronicle from youth to old age. Through the framing and lighting effect of various objects, it guides the visitors along a designated circulation path meandering through the exhibits while chartering through their minds amidst different framed views in a realm conducive for dialogues and exchanges. Concepts and design techniques could result in thousands of interpretations and images. This exhibition was the subject of a photography contest which culminates a kaleidoscope of different “Framed views” triggering a genuine perspective of the inner souls.
